Sometimes people ask me how I got started in beading. I guess the idea first came to me after attending one of those home jewelry parties. Normally I am not a fan of those type of parties because the merchandise is pretty pricey. But this party was hosted by my daughter-in-law and I wanted to support her --- plus I did love the look of the jewelry in the catalogs and on display. I purchased my very first wrap bracelet at that party. By the time tax and shipping was added, the bracelet tallied $50+. I remember thinking to myself, "I could make that and for less!" Up until that point I had never considered making jewelry. But the seed was planted that day. Jump AHEAD- A few months down the road (April 2015), I found myself drooling over strings of beads and gemstones in a local hobby store. There I was- at the crossroads. To bead or not to bead!?
